Dopey. The Wellman ones broke up in my engine. the ends appear to melt and when you pull them out they break up, if not before. I have fitted Bosch, from a Bosch Agent to my new engine.

Yes, That simple. You have to keep the BMW pump body because the RR pump will not fit the 5 series M51 engine. Then all you need to do is just be very careful fitting the EDC (top half of the pump) and be patient fitting it. any issues PM me.

Yes, if it is an M51. You will not need to touch the BECM. the only slightly tricky bit is swapping the top of the FIP. If you need any advice pm me I did the same swap last week. Another guy on here Tonyyzf was very helpful.

Just an update chaps, Bought a low mileage 525 td, engine was running as sweet as a nut for £400, pulled engine out of RR and 5 series swapped all sensors, ancilliaries and exhaust manifold and turbo. As tonyyzf said took my time and swapped the top half of the FIP, with a bit of fine tuning...

I would recommend that you do not fit cheap' ones. My garage did and they feel apart in the engine. The ceramic casings broke up. Ceramics and Piston rings don't mix well. I would only fit Bosch or Beru (Beru are original equipment) from a reputable supplier, another £30 is far cheaper...

Word has it that the only differences between the TD and thr TDS is the Intercooler and the ECU, which will both stay on the RR
