I get a regular 250 miles near enough on the nose regardless of how I drive mine, and it's an auto, I can get around 100 litres in before it cuts the fueling off. So basically, 250 miles for £45-50, not too bad, but I did expect better when I bought it. G

It's hard to say where it's coming from as I need to drive it to get the noise. However, it only makes it under load, ie. foot on the gas and accelerating, take your foot off the gas (and hence take the loading away) it sounds normal, this is why I thought about detonation. Thanks guys. I'm getting about 250 miles from a fill up of LPG (£45) so it's pretty comparable (well, slightly better it would appear). Still, getting LPG can be an inconvenience though so I'm still considering a TD5. Thanks for the info, it's given me food for thought. Gareth

380 for me at Lancaster, thats with protected no claims and euro travel cover on a 98 Disco V8i with declared LPG Conversion, but I might still have to call them if other people are getting it for 185! I'll see how I get on! Oh, 9 years NCB and I'm 38 no accidents etc.

I've just noticed my Disco leans towards the drivers side a little, I've noticed this on other disco's as well come to think of it, but put it down to there being only a driver on board. Any idea's? Shocks and springs all appear good. Ta Gareth
