    5 seater to 7 seater?

I've been offered a cracking TD5, however it's a 5 seater. You know the question, and I have searched! Can the rear seat 6 and 7 be retro fitted "easily"? Thanks Gareth

    original landrover or brit(****)part????

I've had mine nearly 3 years now and never touched the ignition system, start, runs and drives spot on, single point LPG. It has started to get a rough idle on petrol though so it may be time to start looking at it all! I've always been told Lucas for the dizzy and arm, Champion plugs and...

    shocks

Mine did this, leaned to the drivers side, quite noticeable. I've just changed my rear shocks and the problem is gone. The top bushes were in bits on the right hand side and the lower was tightened more than the left, more thread protruding, so I think this was my problem. I used the super...

lpg how far to your tank

I get a regular 250 miles near enough on the nose regardless of how I drive mine, and it's an auto, I can get around 100 litres in before it cuts the fueling off. So basically, 250 miles for £45-50, not too bad, but I did expect better when I bought it. G

    Knocking V8, advice please

Well, today it died! Cut out on me 500 yards from home. Managed to get it started to get it back but its clattering like mad under load now, and not running at all right. Anyone know of a good engine place in the Accrington area that don't charge the earth? Gareth

    Knocking V8, advice please

Thanks. Well, as far as my ears can tell, the noise is the same regardless of engine temp. Tone wise, it's more of a hard tap than a knock. As for transmission, UJ's etc, I can get the noise by loading the car in drive and keeping the brakes on, just loading the engine up to the point of...

    Knocking V8, advice please

It's hard to say where it's coming from as I need to drive it to get the noise. However, it only makes it under load, ie. foot on the gas and accelerating, take your foot off the gas (and hence take the loading away) it sounds normal, this is why I thought about detonation. On idle from cold, no...

    Knocking V8, advice please

My V8i has started knocking, not too bad but concerning. It doesn't knock at all when you rev it out of gear, sounds nice and quiet, however, under load in gear it makes a knocking noise that increases with engine speed, again, not bad, but you can hear it clearly, or I can now! Could it just...

    TD5 tank range?

Thanks guys. I'm getting about 250 miles from a fill up of LPG (£45) so it's pretty comparable (well, slightly better it would appear). Still, getting LPG can be an inconvenience though so I'm still considering a TD5. Thanks for the info, it's given me food for thought. Gareth

    TD5 tank range?

So how much to fill her up Dave?? I'm only asking these questions as I drive a V8i LPG and get around 250 out of the tanks at £45 per fill, just want to compare that with Diesel as diesel is obviously a bit more convenient being more readily available! I do find it a tad tedious having to...

    TD5 tank range?

Quick survey guys! What kind of mileage are TD5 owners getting from a tank of diesel, and how much is it costing at the moment to fill one up?? Cheers Gareth

    insurance and stuff

380 for me at Lancaster, thats with protected no claims and euro travel cover on a 98 Disco V8i with declared LPG Conversion, but I might still have to call them if other people are getting it for 185! I'll see how I get on! Oh, 9 years NCB and I'm 38 no accidents etc.

    Leaning Landy!!

Any idea what colour goes on what side, might be worth me checking out the springs, you never know, even the experts can feck it up.

    **** happens

According to Clarkson, all Landy drivers are murderers! I'm yet to meet an Alfa owner who was a twot! I've met a lot of them being in the owners club. Oh, what a give away!

    Leaning Landy!!

I'm only a lightweight! I doubt the springs are odd as the Disco has a very good service record and has always been looked after by Landy experts and dealers. It doesn't bother me and it drives spot on, just wondered if there was a known cause for it. So long as it drives in a straight line...

    Leaning Landy!!

I've just noticed my Disco leans towards the drivers side a little, I've noticed this on other disco's as well come to think of it, but put it down to there being only a driver on board. Any idea's? Shocks and springs all appear good. Ta Gareth

    MOT, common failures???

The disco is in for MOT next week, other than rot and the usual bits and bobs (wipers, bulbs etc), what else is a common Disco failure? Its a V8i 1998, body and chassis seem good, even the boot floor is clean! It's going to a local place that normally deals with normal cars, they don't generally...
