Puma washer and wiper not working

I'd start at the switch. Can you disconnect it and manually short the relevant pins on the plug to see what happens?

    Headlights cutting out.

I had a Boomslang on my previous truck and have just installed it on my current one too. Apart from the cables being a little short, what else is wrong with the Boomslang kit? Cheers

    Headlights cutting out.

Sorry to be blunt, but surely you should have sorted this when you first had an issue with the headlights years ago.

Help - Gear box oil filler plug rounded off

Wouldn't they have drained the gearbox when fitting the new clutch? I know it's not helpful now, but a wise man once told me "always undo the filler plug first..."

You might need to get the "Defender System" unlock, which has support for the 10AS, but just try it and see what happens, as it will tell you if it is locked

    Rubber windscreen bracket gaskets

That's good enough for me! I've given it a go - I wonder if they'll still be good in 17 years...

    Rubber windscreen bracket gaskets

I'm planning to make some windscreen bracket gaskets from some EPDM rubber sheeting that I have left over. The idea being that the rubber will create a watertight seal and resolve my water ingress issues (or at least that water ingress issue) Can anyone think why this might be a bad idea before...

    Forged wheel nuts

Yep, I appreciate that stainless steel is less strong when compared to HS steel, by maybe 50% depending on which blend (I ended up going for 316 from another supplier), but it's still many times stronger than it needs to be for the application. However, the nuts from that supplier that look...

Odd looking TD5 exhaust gasket on ebay

Has anyone ever used the type of gaskets shown here on eBay? They look like they have some "thickness" to them so may be better at dealing with any slight imperfections in the mating surfaces. All thoughts appreciated Cheers

TD5 cut out and won't restart (not ECU or crank sensor)

Thanks for all the suggestions. It's all sorted now. It seems the fuel filter had become clogged up, possibly with wax that had formed in the diesel due to the really cold temps. All sorted now. While looking into this I learnt, and many of you will already know this, that there are two grades...

TD5 cut out and won't restart (not ECU or crank sensor)

Thanks for the suggestions. I decided to get recovered to a Landy specialist and let them figure it out. They seemed pretty convinced that it is to do with the fuel system and the cold, maybe water/ice in the tank clogging things up...

TD5 cut out and won't restart (not ECU or crank sensor)

Oh joy... TD5 was a bit slow to start this morning, but I put that down to the bloody cold weather. Drove about 7 miles and then it cut out and would not restart. I carry a spare ECU, so swapped that at the side of the road, but no joy. I swapped the original one back in and popped the...

Liquid gasket/ sealant for exhaust manifold

Another thought would be a fire resistant silicone rated to 1200 degrees or so, such as this https://www.glowing-embers.co.uk/ChimneyAndFlues/FlueInstallation/HighTemperatureSealants/EnvirografSiliconeSealantHeatResistantUpTo1200degC Of course, if my manifold has warped again, I'll get it...
