    Canvas colours

I have spoken with Under Cover Covers. They seem to be very busy, but do have certain colours in stock. Can any of you helpful people point me in the direction of an online colour swatch??? Many thanks.

    Canvas supplier?

Geat. Thanks for your replies, one more question - do you think it would be an issue to keep a canvas topped Landy under a breathable cover outdoors? I would be using it at weekends, so it would not be covered for long periods.

Thanks for that. Does anyone have any experience of the tubular frames from Purely Metal?

    Canvas supplier?

Hello, I have just purchased a series 2a 3.5 V8, which has hoops and a knackered bikini top. I am trying to decide whether to go hard or soft top. If I go canvas, is Exmoor trim the best option? Cheers, James

    New here

Well, after a summer of searching, I have ended up with a 1966 series 2a with a 3.5 on SU s. What have I done??? It currently has a bikini roof. I cannot decide whether to go hardtop or canvas. If I go canvas, can anyone recommend which supplier to go for? Many thanks

    40 Year tax/ MOT advice

Its more the tax thing for me really.I would still get it checked by someone much better qualified than me. I am just trying to understand the regs and know what I am buying into. What I am really after is a V8 on a galvanised chassis which is close to being tax exempt. Probably titled this...

    40 Year tax/ MOT advice

Thanks for all your replies. Definately food for thought. How about a mid 80s Defender which has had a replacement chassis? If the vin plate matches the V5, is that all I can check?

It is a vehicle i am interested in. I have not seen the V5. I agree, would still get it tested every year, just trying to understand the rules. It appears to have had the chassis for some time. I would be fitting the V8.

I am guessing this has been done to death on here, but here goes. Would a 1966 series 2A on a defender chassis be mot exempt, or would it be considered modified? Many thanks in advance...........

Evening all, My name is James. I am planning to buy or build a 3.9 V8 Defender. Having sold our 300 TDI last year and immediately regretting it, and always wanting a V8, I have decided to scratch both itches in one. It will be a weekend toy. Ideally and early defender on a galvanised chassis.(I...
