Well I did it, 30mm lift, standard suspension fitted, 5mm spacers, 225/75/15 maxxis buckshots. No rubbing except on extreme suspension compression.

Well I just got a steal on some new 225/75/16 maxxis buckshot ls, 5 brand-new for £200. I mounted one to the spare and test fit it, with the 5mm spacer on the Freelander 16" alloy, they fit, clear the shocks and don't scrape on the arches at all. Luckily some of the reviews on the tyres state...

What's a proper lift kit, I've looked at the 40mm kit from muddy mods, spacers, camber bolts and new brake lines?

Ha ha ..... So if I leave the suspension standard and just lift it 40mm then it can just be returned to standard of needed? And keep the 18" inch wheels so can completely change it back? What do we think?
