    Brake servo confusion!

Managed to actually have a quick look today as I have been busy at work. When putting pressure on the pedal and starting the engine, it’s hard as if the servo isn’t working and has a loud leaking hiss sound, but then it seals and drops as should and sounds fine? It seems intermittent but I would...

    Brake servo confusion!

I didn’t want to go britpart but most companies I found when selling servos just class the brand as aftermarket and you don’t know what your getting until it arrives. I purposely didn’t buy the cheapest hoping I would get something that wasn’t crap quality, also time constraints of needing the...

    Brake servo confusion!

Hello, I had a brake servo issue (mainly it was very old and no longer assisted) I didn’t really care as the brake performance was fine so just drove it with it. The pin to the servo sheered and the pedal no longer returned so decided to sort it. I didn’t have the time to do it myself so...

    Series 3 brake issue

Hello all My SWB series 3 has got a 109 axle up front. I recently bled the brakes as the pedal went soft and now I have excellent pedal pressure and all is good there. The only issue now is the front brakes are out of balance and the N/s front locks hard and the landy pulls almost to full...

Axle case oil seal and other issues!

[GALLERY=] thanks for the reply, on the bag it says 217400G 15510051 so assuming they are the correct ones? Like I said it’s almost as if the seal was a hair too large and compared to the one that came out, the old one was thick and ridged and coreteco seemed a lot thinner and weaker. I am going...

Axle case oil seal and other issues!

Hello all, Was doing my swivel joint today along with all seals etc to get it all up to spec. I am having trouble with the oil seal for the axle case. The original looked alright but I bought new so went with replacing for peace of mind. I was replacing with a corteco seal after removing the...

    We gawt a fresh one!

Its reg’d as a series 2 but over the years with cheap repairs and stuff it’s become a bit of a bitser of series 2 and 3, but it doesn’t bother me the fact it’s not all original. It ads to its charm :)

    We gawt a fresh one!

Yup will do! I am planning to get some other threads going of before/after and progress. The landy is currently at half resto. As in the front end is fully painted and the rear has about 5 different layers of military paint still to tackle. I am a bespoke welder/fabricator by trade and have been...

    First snag! Transmission bolt

I recently got on the road my ol family Land Rover. After sorting the running issues, servicing with all fluids, and getting it to move actual distances I notice the top plate on the transmission is missing a stud and appears to be leaking when running. I have done the transmission/trans box...
