The fabrication part seems relatively straight forward, but I am looking for a supplier of the weld-in bushes, weld-in damper...

Been speaking to an old guy in the village who says you could once buy chassis kits - a set of cut profiles you assemble yourself.
Anyone remember these & can you still get them from somewhere - I feel he might have been pulling my leg......

Hi All,
I have a Series 3 with a chassis that needs work - Ive bought 2 No front dumb irons & a rear panel.
I'm contemplating sorting out the chassis then having it galvanised, I will be able to remove as much of the old coatings from the outside but will have no access to the inside cavities...
The whole dumb iron ends rotted off with the ends left bolted to the ends of the leaf springs, I'm ordering a front end from Craddocks and was intending cutting directly across the rear of the cross member. Can I reasonably assume the distance will be correct from the rear of the cross member...
Evening all,
I'm contemplating replacing my front cross member & dumb irons in one piece, the engine is bolted in to the chassis.
Will the engine provide enough of a brace to stop the chassis springing out or twisting once I make the cuts?
Also, if I ensure the back tub is level both ways and...
