OK so does this mean that if I replace the drivers side actuator (probably best for a numpty like me) it should solve the general central locking problem ?

P38A 4.6 2000 Thor Problem with central locking

Hi all I have looked around the forum but cant find this specific problem.(or missed it) My car has a disarmed central locking( which I like actually for simplicity) so key only operation. I was getting the occasional random lock, unlock scenario but was living with it. All was fine until two...

    P38A KPH to MPH

OK If anyone is interested in this thread, the only way to go completely from Kilometres to Miles is by buying a similar age MPH binnacle ( Mine is a Thor 4.6 so YAC114240) and contact Richard at https://callrova.com/range-rover-p38/ . He will require this new binnacle, your BECM and ECU. Tell...

    P38A KPH to MPH

Thanks all . I had read that if a new cluster goes in then the higher mileage will be shown so maybe best left as Noresman suggests.

    P38A KPH to MPH

Hi guys Probably a problem already aired but I cant find a mention. I have bought a lovely Japanese 4.6 HSE import. I could live with this but it would be nice to change the speedometer to an MPH and to change over(KPH to MPH) on the distance(ometer?). Are there any thoughts or remedies out...

    P38A Thor 4.6 vogue 2000

Hi all My friends P38 decided to not let him out of the car this morning. Had a look at some threads and seems that the drivers door switch pack might be the culprit or the rear button. Can check the button but what is the switch pack?Is it t the main terminal box of electrics adjacent to the...

    P38A EAS....again

Sure thing. The chap is Simon Illingworth and his company is Fosseway Performance, based in the North Cotswolds. http://www.fossewayperformance.co.uk Very good web site with reasons for his existence on the home page-really mimicking our own experiences.

    P38A EAS....again

You are all right and I will be polite as always! I have a friend who was so disappointed with the quality of parts from a well known Jag supplier when he was doing up his E-type that he started his own company. He designs and produces performance parts for many classic cars using only British...

    P38A EAS....again

OK chaps, great response and am now happy to proceed with a right proper roasting of Rimmers. Kurt, plainly you are the man for this so can I buy one of your refurbs and how do I go about it? Thanks again all Simon

    P38A EAS....again

Yes thanks for replies. I have talked to rimmers and I would have to fork out for another one, send this back and then wait to hear from their supplier for their observation. As it is working, in my mind not correctly, it is still in their court and I would expect a 'not our problem mate'. Any...

    P38A EAS....again

P38 4.0 Thor 2000 Hi No real problems just concerns you may be able to help with. Fitted a new EAS Pump from Rimmers -only reason really to cover all eventualities. Works fine but very noisy-it clacks loudly rather than the usual quick pumping sound noise. Should it go back? Also normal height...

P38A Sticking door handle- perennial problem.

Hi All 4.0 Thor 2000 I know that apart from fitting a new cam kit, one has to, and I quote from an earlier post "All you have to do is undo the torx head bolt holding the handle on and then wriggle the door handle outwards until you can see the offending lug that needs cut off - you can move...
