Nudge bar mounting would indeed be a more solid fix, but I didn't really want a nudge bar on the front end. Yes I believe my bush wire mod is illegal on UK roads. Did some DIY on the bush wire program. Seem to work sort of, could likely be improved with a slightly heavier gauge wire, but have put them into action already and they work reasonably well, keeping the greenery off the windscreen.

Thanks Nodge68. Yes I believe that due to the larger disc brakes on the LR4 not all 18" wheels fit. Compomotive are saying the 18" PD1881 does fit, and there are certainly lots of photos online showing LR4s wearing this wheel.
