Yeah thanks. As expected it did not start.

So it starts with easy start and produces gray smoke at idle brown smoke that turns to white when the the throttle is applied. It runs lumpy. Possibly an occasional miss. It is burning a little oil or leaking it... but it has dropped on the dipper stick .

I've just looked and the spare ECU is missing a fai amount of ineffable markings. If I unplug mine and try it wl that have an impact on my vehicle? I'm not sure how it would if my ecu is not connected.

Grand. Thanks, So I actually have a "spare" ecu out of a disco. Is this something that I can recode to my engine or do I need a computer? My dad has a regular diagnostic computer but it is not capable of ecu mapping.

This end cap is 50mm Dad said my aunts just has a rubber cup on the end. Which was included in my kit to be fair.

Fixed the bearing the other day. It was in utter bits. Dad walked me through it and now ill know for next time. I can confirm the td5 had a spacer to preset the tension. Hiwever mine has a 50mm nut on the end of the axle that my dad was confused about. My auties o5 td5 doesnt have that.

Wheelbearing. It went from aye, ill change that to utter trash in no time. Even took my breaks out of action. Thay was worrying. Thanks folks. Problem diagnosed and in the opporating ward now.
