    If it was up side down for a while, after you stoped the engine then chances are the oil has run past the piston rings and filled the cylinders. As your mate says take the injectors out, then spin it over on the starter for abit , oil should spew out of the injector holes then refit them, check...

    Today the brakes siezed on on my swb 2a v8 , it felt like i was towing a house then when i stoped at a junction smoke was coming of the wheels, anyway i stoped to let it cool down walked round the back and the brake lights were on, so i got a 2lb land rover special tool and hit the master...

    Essex boys cracking british gangster film. Fetures a 90 chaising a mercedies though a marsh, also a p38 getting shot up [and its occupents]. Also the other half has just remined me that there are land rovers in Emmerdale too! :rolleyes:

    can`t he take the chassis number of the log book? series land rovers don`t have the chassis number stamped on any where just a alley plate.

    welcome Marcus your series 3 [if its a good un] will be the ideal vehicle for you, how do you tell well, if i gets to bulgaria in one piece its a good un! But seriously if its in good nik and you maintain it properly it will give you years of happy motoring.

    Stuck in 4 wheel drive in high range

    Is the tunel fitted? you need the spring that gooes on the rod between the tunel and yellow knob to force the lever up, hope this helps.

    Has any one put a rangie steering box on a seires?, i know this would be a lot of work but would be alot cheaper, i would consider doing this myself if i could find out more info any ideas guys!

    Bleeding Brakes

    Don`t know how this works but if you pump the pedal until it gets as good a possible, then wedge a piece of wood between the steering wheel and pedal, holding presure on it then leave overnight you should have a good pedal in the morning. It worked on mine!

    just looked at your web site gr8 landy ideal car too learn to drive in and shouldn`t be to expenive to insure, and any dents and scratches you should put on it only add character! just don`t torch it pyro!

    i`ve got a mini throttle pedal and cable operatation to the holley carb on my v8, works fine hope this helps.

    Hello folks

    Hello folks Just joined, i`ve got a series 2a vith a v8 fitted i do a bit of triling and some play days. I built it from parts brought from someone packing up land rovers, so its more a series 2 / 2a /3 lwb with swb chassis and body work.
