The lump had new head etc. I should have left a deposit over the phone, it sold within three hours in Downham Market, hour n half from me, bugger. This is the problem when you don't know your market. Be a while before something that good...

    Hi yourself Brian, trying to determine mpg on a S3 two n a quarter petrol short wheelbase1978. Completely new to Landies.

    Thanks for speedy reply saxa. Seen a very nice petrol s3 total rebuild. When I looked into mpg my jaw dropped, they reckoned 12-15 mpg, does this sound right to you? What would the diesel equivalent be in your opinion?

    Hi, am thinking of buying a series 3 at some point. How easy is it to convert petrol to diesel? What lump would you use? Would a new transmission be required? Total newbie to this, like you can't tell already. BB
