Hi, am thinking of buying a series 3 at some point. How easy is it to convert petrol to diesel? What lump would you use? Would a new transmission be required? Total newbie to this, like you can't tell already. BB
If you haven't driven a series at all I suggest you try a petrol and a diesel before you buy so you can compare and know what you are letting yourself in for. They are very slow, noisy and can be a handful to drive compared to modern cars. They are agricultural even compared to a 90/110. I love driving my lightweight but I don't do long journeys in it. I used to drive a series 2a to Norfolk and back twice a month (300 mile round trip) when I was young which might explain my tinnitus!
