Thanks for the advise on the work-lamp. I WAS thinking of fixing them to the front face of the bumper. They are just small 'panel mount' style round LED's (18mm I think). But maybe you're right. Perhaps the test should be ........ If you I don't actually need them, they must be just 'bling' :-)

No. All my lights remain standard. And that is my intention to keep them like that. I just wondered about LED daytime running lights, and a LED work light at the back.

With the help of an RAC man and his superior electrical test equipment we isolated the fault to the supply from the main fuse under the seat to the switch. So a temporary but totally safe fix has been to remove the fused link (no 6) and run a new 30 amp wire from the live rail in the fuse box...

Daft question, but when they last worked, it was after the engine was at running temp. could it be anything to do with the dim dip resister which i think is the off side wing ??

I've now replaced the dim/dip relay and there is no change. No lights at all. The key to this must lie in the fact that with the light switch off I read about 10 volts at the live feed to the switch. When the switch is on it reads zero volts. By my reckoning you only get 0 volts if both probes...

As part of a rebuild I had to have new but stock shocks. The springs however are old and rusty and look horrible. Rimmer Bros sell springs which offer a 45mm higher ride height. Can I achieve a 45mm higher ride height with my standard shocks ? or do I need to replace springs with standard ride...
