I added the price of key and reprogramming together for the the post. The key alone £170+ thievery. The rest was for reprogramming. Theoretically I could just order the key for my reg and re sync myself then? Is the dealer is just being a scammer saying it needs programming?

So I visited JLR dealer today. £285+ vat for a new key. I also have to get Rangey, recovered there as it is no longer a runner. I also emailed, fob repair company. To see if they can help. Or does anyone have any other fixes that may help me? Thanks.

My ill fated attempt at fixing my remote fob earlier. Has resulted in the a chip becoming detached from the PCB in my remote. I soldered it back in place. It no longer works. Does anyone have any advice?
