All sorted folks turned out be the alternator not charging properly £120 + vat Bosch one sorted it can I enjoy xmas now with no more issues?..

Just a quick one does the alternator on these have anything do with the gearbox I.e if the alternators faulty would it possibly put that message on the dash?

I’m sure the past week tho I’ve seen the eml light flickering on and off very faintly

Servo fault?..and refurbed injection pump?..any idea wa I would be looking at price wise?..if that is the case?

I’ll get it plugged in tomorrow yes I’ve heard a few ppl say about the voltage issue the battery is only 5 months old brand new cost me £95 could possibly be alternator issue but it’s all guesses at the minute I’ll get codes pulled tomorrow and report back it’s not what u need this close to xmas

I’m back again lol so after my becm problem was re synced and sorted cars ran lovely the past 4 weeks however car decided die on me today eml light came on car lost power came up gearbox fault on the dash it’s a 2002 51 plate p38 2.5 hse with 96k miles on the clock hoping for good news not bad pleas

Had becm and ecu back today put it on with a fully charged battery it fired straight up so really happy with that thanks Marty too msn top service

I’m not sure about the disabling mate

I’ve sent the becm and ecu off to marty on the forum he’s messaged me today saying it was out of sync he’s done it now so hoping it’s done the trick

The previous owner had the same issue I’m having mate and said the sync mate didn’t work no idea why...and you say EMS aswell as becm need sending off?..can you tell me where the EMS is located thank you

Yes I agree at least for what it costs to have the becm reprogrammed I’m just going get it done so then if I still get the same problem at least it rules that out also the glow plugs were changed yesterday so that’s also ruled out ....as I say it’s always been hard startcat times but always...

Ye which is wa I thought the only thing in the back of my mind worrying me is the car use to start first time but other times it would crank for 5-8 seconds before actually firing up is this something related to my actual problem now?..if it’s out of sync why did it still use to start after...
