I inherited my Td4 from my brother in law. He had the rear brakes cleaned as they were sticking badly. This has lasted about a year and are doing the same again. Is there a full kit available to do the job properly i.e drums shoes and fitting kit or just buy the parts individually? I'm not using...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Typical no instructions at all however straight forward to fit. I will try the two lower mounting bolts to see what adjustment is on them. Ta.

What have you done to your Freelander today

Well after replacing the tailgate regulator and shattering the rear screen a couple of weeks ago I fitted the new screen with the help of an assistant this time. What happened was the window wasnt at the correct angle when going up so it went to the outside of the channel at the top and...

What have you done to your Freelander today

It went up until smash a million little pieces . :) New screen being fitted Friday. At least the demister will...

    Fuel pump or something else?

Mine recently had a similar issue and it was just a hose that had popped off. Cured in two minutes. Do your proper fix on the hose and see how it goes from there.

    Rear door electrics

Morning. Having a couple of electrical issues with the tailgate electrics. My rear demister has stopped working as has rear wiper. The rear window also wont go down but I think that is coincidence as I can hear the motor working but no movement of glass so that will be the regulator. I have...

Freelander 1 best live fuse for dash cam

The easiest way to do this is to use the 5v kit supplied by Halfords. It has the "add a circuit" inline fuse that simply plugs into a spare slot in the fuse box. No mess and very safe. It comes with the correct 5v convertor also. Very quick and easy to use...

    Management Light

Sorted  Fes up time. So day off and thought i'll have a quick look since last post. I had taken inlet manifold off to clean the years and years of gunk off. I have undertightened the jubilee clip at the top off the hose above the egr delete. It had slid down , hose was still attached...

    dash cam

I will second using that Halfords install kit. It was very good. I also used a small rocker switch with an led as mine was plugged in to a constant feed on the fuse box and mounted it near the steering wheel so it was visible . Just made it noticeable when I was leaving the vehicle to switch it...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Yes. I should have said my cable wasnt broken it was the two plastic cable clips at the ends of the regulator that had snapped. If the cable is snapped you should be able to just manually pull the window down. If you cant do that then just fiddle about with a 10mm ratchet spanner to remove the...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Well today I had the pleasure of replacing one of the two rear window regulators that needed replaced and replacing both rear door glass channel runs and quarter glass.
