Thank you just bought a 2001 1.8 petrol and thought about this.

New to the whole Freelander ....I have a 1.8 freelander s, on a 2001 plate Y. I see on here alsorts about differnt series L ,K howd I know what series I have? Your gonna have to be patient with me

What about a coolant level sensor? Worth fitting one? Cheers

Actually bought a freelander 1.8 petrol in lovely condition.....no mayo in expansion tank but slight hairline cracks! So replace the tank? Ok but with a cheapie off ebay or Landrover? Whats your opinion?

Did LR put it right on the early models

New to the Land Rover, so do t shout at me! Y reg 1.8s freelander is my car. Question is when did LR realise a problem and when did it get sorted?

Just a quick introduction, just puchased a freelander s 1.8 petrol (yes I know HGF) but the body and interior are spotless and it was bargain. Full service records no sign of leaks or dribbles but 70k on the clock. How long before the HG goes ?
