    Freelander 2 (LR2) Workshop Manual

Hello All I have read in several places that a free service manual exists for the Freelander 2. All i seem to find is links and sites where you have to pay. Is there a free official Land Rover one for the FL2? Thanks in advance

Changing plastic 48mm throttle body on Freelander 1.8

Agreed I believe there is a small 2 maybe 3 BHP increase, minor really but the drivability is so much better. It's a very free raving engine anyway and its even more so now. :-)

Changing plastic 48mm throttle body on Freelander 1.8

Hello All Its been a while but still enjoying my Freelander :) So i was getting a strange drop in revs when coming to a halt after a long run. It would almost stall but recover. Bit of research suggest on old Freelanders like mine (1998) they plastic throttle bodies can cause problems when...

Freelander 1 1998 1.8 petrol lambda sensor removal

I meant to get back on this. Took the exhaust manifold off in the end which luckily was not problem. The sensor was really tight , in the end i had to heat up with a blow torch to loosen. New one fitted , new head studs and nuts for the manifold and all good. Thanks Struan

Freelander 1 1.8 - Possible fuel pump issue, extreme bodge-up wiring under seat mats

Not for the inertia switch. Its only held with a couple of M6 (i think) nuts. But you start working around the fuel pump then yes you should disconnect the battery!..

Freelander 1 1.8 - Possible fuel pump issue, extreme bodge-up wiring under seat mats

I actually unbolted mine from the bulkhead and gave it a shake and then reset. Might be worth 5 minutes to try. But looking at your pictures i'd also check those wiring connections are good!

Freelander 1 1.8 - Possible fuel pump issue, extreme bodge-up wiring under seat mats

Engine is 1.8 petrol K series R Reg 1997/8 ~(yes i know but it was free lol ) Being MEMS 1.9 explains no CPS then. I can remove that from the possible causes. New inertia switch will be fitted tomorrow. I assume by ignition switch you mean the large plastic multi pin unit on the end of the...

Freelander 1 1.8 Petrol Crankshaft sensor

Hello All I had the Freelander cut out on me a couple of times recently. Suspect the Inertia switch or crank sensor after reading the forums. New Inertia switch is on order . As for the crank sensor it looks like the one on mine is a a dummy and just a blanking connector in the bell housing...
