Freelander 1 1.8 Petrol Pressure Relief Thermosat upgrade

Hello All
Just ordered the parts to do this from Rimmer Bros. Any one done this upgrade, i assume you remove the existing thermostat?

Very easy and worthwhile conversion. If you ordered the kit? It should come with a thermostat "restrictor) disk to replace the factory stat. If it doesn't, then you simply cut off the thermostat valve, leaving just the ring, then refit it

Just an update on this. Upgrade completed without any real issues. Temperature gauge now seems much more stable and not move about like before so all good.
