Blue one is well pricey for a 2004 E (pretty basic) model. Only worth it if has 3 year warranty that actually covers everything, full service history, and has had VCU changed, and was owned by the Queen. In fact still too pricey unless absolutely immaculate. Whatever you buy, spent 500 less...

I'm using the Philips +130 bulbs, euro car parts has deals on them. They're definitely an improvement on my pre facelift FL1. My old facelift FL1 had fantastic lights and I was really disappointed when I got this car!

because its not finding fault cant help thinking it's a physical selector issue, does it read "D" on the dashboard when in drive?

If it's a very quickhonk-ette whimper noise, doesnt that mean it thinks the boot isnt closing? (If so, could it be a boot wiring issue?)

My update on the intermittent trio of lights. Braking hard with ABS doesnt cause the lights to come on. I have also noticed the cruise doesnt cancel immediately with pressure on the brake pedal. So looks like the switch will be the place to start

Got it. Between the pre and post facelift here's my main issues: 1) Can see the speedometer in the pre facelift one! Even with the steering wheel at it's highest, I couldn't see the top of the speedo easily in my facelift one. 2) Lights on the pre facelift are disappointing after the excellent...

Here's an odd one... I want to change over the 3 heater knobs in my pre facelift Freelander. The ones that are there are... sticky. They work fine, but it's not nice touching them! Is this a ... known issue? Think this will be an easy job? Thx!

Seen plenty posts on this but would be grateful for suggestions. Just bought (privately) a 2001 Freelander td4 Auto. Runs great, apart from: TC, ABS and HDC! lights: Come on at startup and will stay on if I drive forwards. If I reverse for a bit first though they go out, but come on again...

Picked the car up. Runs great, very smooth compared to my old facelift manual! No clunks, bangs or rattles at all. VCU was changed last year, and it's amazing how free it feels compared to other's I've driven. Only thing is the ABS trio lights up sometimes... will have to do some searching...

You could try installing one of the touchscreen double din navs - go on ebay and search for "double din gps". Plus some have reversing camera functions. You'll need an adaptor (unless your car already has a non Land Rover radio fitted) and could have the whole shebang fitted for under £150 or...
