    Td4 power loss

Yup, I had two injectors on a TD4 that were blowing past the copper washers. Pain in the rear to get the injectors out but otherwise an easy job.

Help Can anyone confirm all starting related components and requirements ?

If you've swapped the camshaft position sensor (assuming the wiring to the ECU is OK) then I'd next be thinking crankshaft position sensor or fuel pressure sensor given you've checked most of the usual suspects.

    VCU Torque test results

Actually, I redid the test today and I was at 25 seconds (rounding up). It started chucking it down the other day so I might have been a bit distracted and in my haste tested it with THE WHEEL GOING BACKWARDS!

    VCU Torque test results

Ok, replaced the VCU with one from Bell Engineering and done a quick test after the vehicle has had a 200 miles shakedown. 1.2m with 5kg hanging on it and the time for 45 deg to horizontal averaged out at about 35 sec. The old unit at 125k took 50 seconds. I'll keep an eye on it every 5000...

    2002 freelander seized injector

Yeah, or £38 then £353 ;) (altho I got mine for about £150, and it REALLY works)

Could the problem be the bearing on top of the strut? Has that been checked?

What have you done to your Freelander today

Yeah, gonna give the unit 100 miles or so of shimmy first to settle in, but I did do a quick test and it seemed to be in the mid 20 seconds.

    Low biting point on clutch

Replacing the master cylinder is easy enough, but if there's a problem with the slave then that's a gearbox off job and you might as well do the clutch at the same time.

    Replaced the VCU

Not going to reinvent the wheel because Hippo already has an awesome writeup of the process here: https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-rover/freelander-1-vcu-bearing-replacement-how-to-guide.156068/ Instead, I'll just post a few thoughts and and "what I'd do next time" tips: You need a 17mm and...

    shaft required for mot?

Not sure about NCT but it would pass UK MOT.

    Low biting point on clutch

What's the mileage? Checking the master cylinder as huffhuff mention is a good idea, so is what freelance said. Other than that, it seems to be how they are once the clutch gets some miles (I just had a new clutch fitted and the difference is like night and day).

What have you done to your Freelander today

Replaced the VCU and bearings (I was up to 45 seconds on the test, so, since I'd fitted a clutch, thought I might as well get this done). Back on the road OK and the slight VCU bearing noise is gone.

Are Land Rover not replicate the issue or are they saying it's nothing?

    2011 hse Freelander

Pulsing at full lock (which is I think what you're describing) could be a lot of things. I'd first take a look at the power steering fluid levels. Maybe it's low. Another possibility is that there's a leak in the low pressure side pulling in air. Check to see if the fluid is milky. I'm assuming...
