    Snorkel Advice

Would that be the same design with the spigot? Looking at some on eBay, admittedly only based of the pictures which may not be accurate, some do and some don't.

    Snorkel Advice

Yeh I must admit that one looks to be a good buy and from the pictures I can see it would do the trick. Can I justify buying one just before Xmas.... Have to keep that a secret from the Mrs!

    Snorkel Advice

Want to fit a snorkel in the new year but have a couple of questions people may be able to help with. My defender, despite being a 300tdi, came fitted with 200tdi wings so there's no intake vent on the O/S wing. I also don't have the plastic ducting that would be inside the wing however the...

    Waxoyl

Hopefully by running water through it should loosen the muck enough that once dry the dinitrol wax will 'creep' past the dirt to the metal surfaces. Not ideal I know but aside from cutting panels in the chassis to clean it out, how can you be certain it's clean. Having the wax in there (as long...

    Waxoyl

I've got a workshop I can sit it in, and an air line I can go over it with. My biggest worry is the amount of dirt in there, not sure I'll ever get it ALL out

    Waxoyl

Dinitrol came from eBay, bought the large kit with spray gun etc as I've got a compressor to run it

    Waxoyl

I've just taken delivery of some Dinitrol ready to do mine. Been working on cleaning the chassis out as best I can, rigged up some 10mm pipe on the hose pipe and been feeding it down the rails hoping to loosen as much dirt as possible! Anyone got any tips for cleaning the chassis out? Mines...

    Coolant replacement and flush

Stick a wet vac on one of the hoses and suck it out. Hose one end, vac the other, should shift some build up. I'm a plumber and often wondered about running central heating cleaner through the cooling system, might damage seals or gaskets though.

    Ply Lining and Insulation

Little follow up from me as I started the thread I thought I should share my results. Bit of Sound Deadening to reduce the reverb from the Van sides https://goo.gl/photos/T7XD7YG3WoBQ3CtQ6 Cut the 6mm ply for the sides, very easy to do then a bit of jigery pokery to notch the corners round...

    Anyone have a car ramp/lift?

Amazing how cheap you can bag a 4 post lift if you ask around. Especially as already mentioned if it's a 3 phase machine and these can be converted. I picked mine up for 600 including 2 gearbox jacks and a blueprint trolley jack. A friend picked a four poster up for 90 quid!

    Ply Lining and Insulation

I've got some bits ordered and on the way, not sure how my attempt will look but the back of the land is quite a simple shape to line. Think for the roof I may just go with some silent coat to dampen vibration, closed cell foam (camping mat) then cover with carpet to match the ply side. Does...

    Ply Lining and Insulation

I plan to make a start ply Lining the 90 over the weekend just been gathering some bits I'll need. Going to use 6mm ply covered in some acoustic carpet, planning on also applying some Silent Coat to the side and roof. Anyone had any experience with this product? How much did you need to...
