    td4 rear diff noise, no noise at all now that shafts are removed!

    Being a dumbass I hadn't checked oil level in rear diff in ages.. Started making a noise after a long journey one day. Syringed out as much old oil as I could and refilled with new stuff.. Sounded a lot better right away but still a slight noise.. Took off prop shaft and vcu tonight and now...

    Whining noise coming from back of td4 Freelander 1. Think its the diff.. Tried the 1 back wheel up test.. Couldn't even turn wheel to check for any noise... Friend of mine said to change out any old oil in diff to check for bits of metal. .. No plug on bottom of diff.. Do you have to take off...

    Just wondering does anyone else have the original vcu on their Freelander.. Mine has nearly 185000 miles on the clock and still has original one in..     Hello, I live in Ireland. Do any of you know where I cant get a roof rack for a freelander. I have the factory fitted side rails and use roof bars to carry ladders etc.. But I would like a full rack ? Even a place in England that would ship it over. Thanks
