Gears and central locking....anything else wanna go wrong?!

Anyone person or company that sells vehicles for profit has to by law provide a warranty for the vehicle, unless it is sold as scrap and you recovered the vehicle on a trailer(this dosn't sound like your case) Sometimes you will be given a warranty book with items listed that are...

    Turbo Conversions for V8's

less life....more power means more stress on the engine and it will wear out quicker. I think the turbo technics conversion was a bolt on modification so the std compression ratio was used, you wont be able to run much boost pressure without the engine knocking its head off and melting things...

    Disco 1991 Weight

ok maybe not the number of axles, i was reffering to the maximum load weight of the tyres, you will need 4 if they are anything like normal road tyres, hence the twin axle statement but you are right in what you say its the MAM that has the final say

    3.9 red line

peak torque is like 2500 ish so off road pointless going way way above, it depends on your engine and how it was looked after. As all engines are looked after differently each is unique in what it will take before it goes bang. I had a tuned renault 5 turbo once that would hit 8k without...

check for rust mostly. Inner wings at the front, inner and outer sills and the rear arches inside, the body is aluminium so can hide many sins under it. Check the front inners by looking under the bonnet. if its a 5 door check the rear inners by opening the rear doors and checking by the rear...

    Disco with trayback..road legal?

That kitcar does have an arch (sort of) at the back of the tyre but i imagine a decent mudflap would do the same job. My trayback will have removeable mudflaps for the road. Think i will bite the bullet and call the dvla in the morning and try to get the answer in writing. At the end of the...

    Disco with trayback..road legal?

having read through the draft IVA manual it seems that a trayback or a bobtail wouldn't require 90 percent of the tests in it seeing as its mostly the same vehicle but falls foul due to the rear overhang on chassis being cut off. I have heard that the local DVLA can inspect a vehicle and call...
