    Disco 2 Clutch/TRB/Spigot bush replacement

Thanks for that. Similar to what I've heard elsewhere. Definitely leaning toward the DMF. Cheers.

    Disco 2 Clutch/TRB/Spigot bush replacement

Gents, Got an issue with the TD5. Had a squeeling clutch for the 12 months I've owned it however it's now starting to become an issue trying to select gears whilst stationary and cold - although the clutch doesn't slip it just doesn't want to go into gear without a fight. Looking into replacing...

    Quick quezzie for the experts..

Thanks for the replies. Might be too much of a risk then at this point in time for myself as I don't have a lot of surplus cash. Still, can't help but feel a series2a kept clean and original for a few years would be a cracking investment; surely they're only going to increase in value? I suppose...

Disco 2 Gearbox whine after turn off

    Quick quezzie for the experts..

Evening gents, I have a question for you. I had a series 2a several years back and sold it in 2013 for just shy of 4k. It was rebuilt in 2010 with a new galv chassis and 200tdi engine. Just looking through fleabay, seen one in very similar nick although a bit more traditional, exactly the same...

Disco 2 Gearbox whine after turn off

Thanks for the replies chaps. Replaced the centrifugal oil filter a month or so ago. Haven't noticed any difference. The car is performing fine at the moment so will probably ignore it for the time being ha.

Disco 2 Gearbox whine after turn off

Gents, Upon turning off my manual TD5 disco, there's an audible whine that slowly decreases in pitch and volume and eventually stops after maybe 5-10 seconds. The whine seems to come from the gearbox, as if something is spooling down. I'm presuming the whine is there when the engine is turned...

Disco 2 Brake caliper piston issue

Oh god. Sounds like a standard land rover job..you think it'll take a morning and ends up costing the earth and taking days! Cheers

Disco 2 Brake caliper piston issue

Oh dear not sounding good. I've got the reservoir cap off so there isnt a back up of pressure and my next option was to unscrew the bleed nipples but to be honest one of them is pretty mangled and I'm not sure how successful that would be. I've got one of them moving slightly but it seems to get...

Disco 2 Brake caliper piston issue

Afternoon gents, after a bit of technical advice. Replacing the disks and pads on my disco 2, ran into a problem in that I can't depress the piston back into the caliper in order to allow space for the new pads to be fitted and placed back on the disk. I have the caliper off and have applied a...

    Disco 2 Which tyre?

Cheers for the replies and shopping advice fellas. After a trip to the local independent landy garage, I can confirm the alloys are 17" disco 3 jobs that were adapted to fit the td5. Think I'm gonna replace them with some 235/70R16's in the GG AT. Seem to be a decent compromise. Thanks again!

    Disco 2 Which tyre?

Many thanks for the replies! I'm not 100% on them being 17's but I don't think they're standard disco 2 alloys at any rate. Hoping they might be worth a few quid cos I'll be selling them when I get the new ones :D

    Disco 2 Which tyre?

Hi gents, Looking to get a new set of tyres for the wagon and would like recommendations. As it's my only car I do everything in it - commute to work, gym etc as well as touring and general adventuring around Scotland. As a result it does a lot of road miles but also needs to be effective in...

    Disco 2 Another alarm issue..

It just said "repair kit" so you're probably right. The only thing wrong with the fobs I currently have is the wee rubber buttons are gone and the actual connectors on the circuit board inside are gone...so hopefully with at least a new shell I can bodge something together :D Also just found...

    Disco 2 Another alarm issue..

Cheers gents got it sorted now with the EKA code. Got a replacement fob on the way as well, £6 off flebay, can't go wrong! Thanks again.

    Disco 2 Another alarm issue..

Hi guys, looking for some help please! A few months ago the key fob stopped working so I took the motor to a specialist and had it plugged in and sorted that the alarm etc only responds to the physical key and door lock. This solved the problem at the time. Just had the car up for a few days...

    Disco 2 steering issues

I would imagine so! But to be honest it's been knackered for a while and I can't see that it would give the effect of rear wheel steer? Got new ones on the way anyway so if that is the cause it'll be getting sorted soon. I'm definitely not convinced that's the only issue though.

    Disco 2 steering issues

Gents, after a bit of help with the old bus. It has started to feel like it's rear wheel steering quite badly, and the whole thing seems generally a bit all over the place in the corners (..and straights come to think of it). So far I have checked and amended all tyre pressures (General...
