UPDATE : thanks for all the feedback, it turns out the seal around the rear high level brake light had gone flat a little hard. I got a slightly thicker one from eBay, fitted it and now all fixed.

Has anyone noticed water collecting in the boot well ? I was having a rare clean up of the boot and when I got everything out there was a fair amount of water there. Its not obvious how it is getting in.

64 plate Metropolis. Rear wash was not working but found the fluid is coming out under the filler tank so I assume a connection has come loose from the tank or motor - but how do I get at it ?

Tried Craddocks but no joy, guess I need to find out who manufactured it and get in touch with them.

55 plate petrol car. I get a smell of petrol on start up and shut off and I've traced it to the top of the fuel pump. I seem to be missing a blanking plug or vent pipe from the pump (see picture). Can anyone show me what I need and where to get it from please.

Fixed. Thanks for your help everyone, the connector wiring was faulty, all sorted now.

Sorry should have said - it's a 55 plate 1.8. I tested the bulb with a 12v battery and it lit up ok. Forgive my autoelectric ignorance but why test the tow socket/electrics.

My nearside brake light will not come on and I've tested the bulb and it is fine. I fitted a new brake switch 18 months ago but if that had failed I assume all 3 brake lights would not work. Any ideas chums ?
