does look like they've bent the wrong way, I was swapping wheels over to change a puncture so could have bent when tightening after to be honest.

That's a good idea will have a look, yeh don't care about the nut it's useless with a dud key!

No impact gun just wheel wrench trying to undo them and the key bent.

My defender has locking wheel nuts on the steel wheels however the key for them is bent so won't remove them, was wondering if anyone has had this before and if it is possible to get the nuts off without the key? Thanks for any help.

I'm 18 and have got my 300tdi 90 insured with aviva for £1400 which isn't too expensive so might be worth a look at them.

I think green defenders look best with white steel wheels, but then I'm probably biased!

Aviva definitely worth a look if you get a van back defender, cheapest by miles for my 300tdi. I'm 18 by the way.

I'm 18 and went for a 300tdi 90 van as the insurance was the lowest so that might be worth taking into consideration.

I use a maxxraxx which is great, it attaches to behind the rear tow ball so you can still tow when using it and they do one which is specifically designed to go round a spare wheel carrier.

I got a good deal on my 300tdi 90 with Aviva as it was a van back (no side windows in back) and I'm only 18 so they may be worth a look at for you.

As already said tdi is easier to fix when it does go wrong and I went for one because the insurance on a tdi was less than on a td5 by quite a lot for me.

I've got an "ardcase" pedal lock which I find looks very obvious so deters theft but that also doesn't take too much time to unlock when I want to use the vehicle. I've also got a gear lever lock which is also very good. There are ways round both these devices for the determined criminal but...
