AFIK rover 75 door mechs are the same as the hippo ones

Tyres are bfg 225 /70/16 no need for spacers but I am planning on fitting 32mm spacers in the near future

A basic 4 pin relay will do the job I like the idea of using the existing lights to operate the relay and a new live from the battery. Halfords | 30 Amp 4 Pin Relay
