What have you done to your Freelander today

To be fair it's been mainly motorway at 50-60 mph, but still...

I'm going to have to do a proper test now, just to satisfy my curiosity.
I'll fill it to the brim tomorrow and zero the odo, then check the miles and fuel it takes at the following fill up, unless anyone knows a better way?

Don't do it.... Stick with 32 :)

Been towing this little friend today for my mothers uncle(the guy behind the lift). 1990kg, no problems at all until i was gonna reverse it up a little hill/driveway. The trailer started to brake. Regret i didnt take pictures of the gravel driveway. I had to push it with the trailer wheels locked most of the way :D

Passed its mot with no problems, smoke readings near the limit, but have found a small split in one of the turbo pipes.
Total mileage since last mot, 1590.

I was looking to hire a cherry picker like that to cut back some trees here - damm expensive things.

Was there not a little lever by the tow hitch that you move over so that you can reverse without the trailer's brakes coming on?

That is possible and sounds plausible. Things would have gone a lot smoother if i knew that. Im gonna tow it back on monday. So will look for that lever then.

He paid 200£ for the weekend.

Synergy 2, K&N (against my better judgement), Genuine LR side steps, rear window guard.

Not a cheap week!

Ye Gods, that Synergy box hasn't half made a difference!

I drove my first Freelander 1 today! Yes it's true. Just a quiet jaunt around the block to make sure it all works. It rides well and it's nice and quiet inside too. Found that the VCU is stiff when reversing on lock :( I'll drop the prop' shaft in the next day or so. Then new tyres and make it legal.

Changed the bracket for the exhaust front pipe. Old one was broken, and previous owner had tried to weld it - not with much luck (see attachment), giving an annoying rattle sound at low rpm's. All is good now :)

just out of interest. But is that a drive wheel in front of the trailer wheel?
