RR Sport L320 3.0TDVS Transmission Megaflush

Today I've had the transmission oil changed in my Range Rover Sport 3.0TDV6. I'm sure the Transmission oil has not been changed during its 12year and 114,000 mile life so is well overdue. I opted to have a Megaflush, which replaces around 99% of the transmission oil. The video goes through the...

    Sport Coolant tank replacement.

The "low coolant" warning light started coming on, at first intermittently, but then just stayed on even though the tank was full. The level sensor had failed, quite a common issue across the Range Rover/ Discovery models. It seemed a fairly straight forward task to replace the whole tank with...

Sport RRS bonnet latch sensor failure...so annoying!!

At some point in your Range Rover ownership your bonnet latch sensor will start to play up, randomly setting of the alarm telling the system someones opened the bonnet...usually in the middle of the night...mine started doing it. So replacing it is a relatively straight forward job, lets take a...

    Sport RRS Water leak

A few weeks ago my RangeRover Sport developed a water leak. After having thought I had identified the cause of the leak, drying out the carpets and been leak free through a few periods of rain, it appeared once again. This video shows what I am sure is the cause of the leak and how to solve it.

    Sport L320 mud trap

I accidentally caught the wheel arch trim yesterday and found a lot of dirt and sand trapped. I suspect it is not from normal road driving, although if not checked regularly it could build up. Next job check behind the sill trim, I suspect there's more.

Freelander 1 So that's why it was running rough...

Following on from a previous thread, I knew I had a blow from the exhaust manifold, with the heat shield in place it felt as though it was coming from the joint below the cat. after removing the shroud everything looked ok, but on removing the manifold the problem became only to clear.... On...

    Freelander 1 1.8 lumpy running..

Following on from a previous thread finally got the thing running but sounds very lumpy almost like it's blowing through an exhaust gasket ( it isn't). Looks suspiciously like water vapour from the exhaust, so decided to try a compression test, results from cylinder 1 to 4 are 150psi 170psi...

    Non starting 1.8

Early last week parked my 2004 1.8 after a drive, everything sit should be...engine running fine.. Next evening got in the car and tried to start it......yes it started but sounded like a bag of nails, almost as though it had sprung a leak at the manifold, it didn't want to rev either. I locked...

Freelander 1 Clutch master cylinder failure.

Been having problems getting into gear for a while. On inspection the piston had a lot of movement at the bracket, so thought I'd change it this coming Saturday. While out today, total failure clutch pedal to the floor. After looking under the car I found that the piston had fractured. From the...

    Crazzzzy !!!!!

quick delivery time granted but to ship a 94g locking wheel nut key in a box the size of a microwave is plain stupid at best. I would have thought a jiffy bag would have done the job. Won't be using them again. :violent: I'll leave it there before I start ranting.................

    Hi Folks

Hi folks, I’ve been reading the forum on and off for a while, so thought it’s about time I joined in. I bought a new Freelander 1.8 in 2004 and it has just passed its latest MOT and has covered just shy of 58,000 miles. All things considered, I’ve enjoyed ownership over the last 10 years...
