It was new and had not been fitted until saturday the little cap on the + terminal hadn't even been off.

JUst fitted a red top optima to my disco, the battery was stored from new for about 3months went to start the disco and nothing. Now the question do optimas come charged there was nothing with it to say either way!??:confused:

Dont forget Yellow is also used for srs/airbag systems and these systems are easily triggerd by external voltage including static! so be carefull if usind a power probe or simlar!!

could try looking on the inner wing area of bulkhead like this. Mines a 300 tdi but it may help. I used a watering can and put some food colouring in it to make it easier to see

sounds like a dodgy injector possibly

I had a similar prob on my 300 tdi and found the bulkhead had a small amount of tinwrom I have som pics but the file size wont go on here not sure how to resize them :(
