    Front axle lateral movement.

Yeah i'll get it adjusted as much as I can. The mounting points are sound, nothing looks out of place. It is an aftermarket bar and im wondering if it isnt the right size for the lift. I've looked at older pics and it does look slightly off in those too. I've a forrest run this Sunday so...

    Front axle lateral movement.

Quick update, what would be your advice here? It appears as if the panhard rod is to long. The mounts at both ends are fine, no sign of bending. Im not sure taking it off and adjusting the rod will really make that much of a difference to the axle offset. As there is only about 20mm of travel...

    Front axle lateral movement.

I believe I ordered something panhard rod related a few month back after a recommendation from another member on here. Maybe bushes, I'll have a look when I get out to the workshop tomorrow. Is it an easy fix? I'll go look up images on google.

    Front axle lateral movement.

I was out trialing last weekend and during the section pictured below my front axle took a lot of punishment. It now looks as if my axle is off center as both my shocks are tilted ever so slightly. How do I correct this? Do I need to adjust the radius arms? Or have I bent something that...

Whats a temp sender made of?

I've been reading Britpart aint the best when it comes to quality. I'll hopefully get one of these two in without destroying them. Might throw on some thread tape to see if that makes any difference. Failing that its back in with the Chinese sender and i'll just run the fans constantly at the...

Whats a temp sender made of?

My guess is butter. Bought a fancy looking Chinese made temp gauge with matching sender. Sender didnt fit fully into the housing so swapped out for Britpart sender and gauge. Gauge went in fine. Removed Chinese sender and before much coolant could get out I got the Britpart sender in. Got it...

Where are all these leaks coming from!?

I didnt manage to get out to the workshop two nights ago but I was there last night. As I finished up I went to get the pic, knelt down and this is what I saw. Intermittent leak! The rear hub isnt leaking either, at present. I've no idea whats going on.

Where are all these leaks coming from!?

Superb, I'll get two ordered. Ta. I'll get a picture of the swivel tomorrow for you, I dont think its too bad but im new to LR. Doesnt sound to hard to sort but it'll probably take me an hour.

Where are all these leaks coming from!?

I originally had two oil leaks. A nice slow rear crank seal and a rear diff leak. I cant touch the rear crank at the moment as I've no way to lift the engine out, it'll get sorted this coming Winter when I rebuild the truck. Anyway, I sorted the rear diff leak and suddenly the front right...

    300tdi Timing Belt Upgrade Kit?

Cheers! I'll have a search for the write up. The radiator shouldnt be a problem as its rear mounted. I've got a sharpie looked out, a nice drill bit for the timing pin. Plenty silicone grease and i'll drown the water pump bolts in WD40 if need be. I got this.

03' Range Rover Towbar Bolts - Witter Towbar

Sorry for the prefix, I have Evoque on the arse of it. Im a Disco guy. Ive found the LR electrics, just a case of plug'n'play. The towbar itself seems rather well made and fitment didnt require much fettling. Its the electrics that have let it down. I've emailed the seller as he's said it was...

03' Range Rover Towbar Bolts - Witter Towbar

Well I bought a Witter kit from Ebay and its been... emotional. A towbar isnt exactly hard to figure out but my god if you had no idea, the instructions that came with this kit would lead you to a breakdown. After tearing the majority of the boot out I managed to get access to the four bolts...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Secured the fuse box in place on the centre console. Replaced an engine hose. Blew a fuse trying to figure out if the coolant temp gauge is f*cked. (its f*cked) Thought about putting in the low oil pressure lamp and wiring.

    Dual Alternators & Batteries

I came up with an elaborate solenoid switching system which allowed me to switch between parallel and series connections between two batteries. This was to allow me to run a 24v starter and winches. I never got round to simulating the circuit as I soon realised it was more hassle than it was...

What have you done to your Landie today.

Finally got her out over the weekend! Was so good to finally have a drive about and have a test of everything after two months sprucing her up.

    Senders, gauges and fluids.

Usually, but... Thats the cooler on top of the radiator. I think i'll take the temp switch out that cooler and gently take a gas soldering iron to it and see if it switches the fan on. I'll run it for a good half an hour with the coolant fan on, see if the engine oil decides to start flowing...

    Senders, gauges and fluids.

Superb post, thank you. The gauge I've got could be from another model of LR. Infact, the truck had a v8 in it originally and this could be the gauge from that  I'll wire the oil light in since thats the case, cant hurt having it. I should of added that it is an auto. I've read...

    Senders, gauges and fluids.

Almost finished rewiring my 300tdi. Just the gauges to go but so far its not gone well. I'll start with the coolant. I connected it up 12v>guage>sender. Now looking at the back of the gauge there is a female and male spade connector. Common sense (or lack of) told me that the male connector...

The Big Debate - Britpart or S**tpart?

After reading through this thread. I've now laminated my proof of purchase for a starter motor I just bought.
