New 2.2 TDCI Has solid fywheel

I also have tdci with the same problem clonking when changeing from 1st to 2rd and 3rd. dealer told me it could be clutch or transfer box or at worst gearbox out put shaft, they just dont no without a full strip down and £3000 bill, my puma is 2008 with only 30.000 miles.

Anybody had any prioblems with transter box on tdci defender, my local garage said this is were the clonking is coming from, £500 for a recon and £300 to fit it, also fly wheel in clutch is rattleing until i depress the clutch pedal more expense, i wouldnt mind but its 2008 with 30000 mile only.

Hello i hate my tdci defender always something wrong with it, clonk from drive train, clutch rattle wish i had not sold my l200. Rant over...

I have simular clonking in 1st 2rd and 3RD gears under drive on my tdci 2008, been told it could be the rear diff but i dont no were to start, someone said its the transmision/ drive train but iam lost.

Hello, I have just bought a defender 90 tdci 2008 model which has a excessive clonking from the under side been told its the drive train, i took it back to dealer who replaced end caps on the half shaft and bushes on the dampers and said its 90% better, on collection the clonk is still there...
