Hello all, my name is Shayne and I have had a few land rovers over the years. All been bomb proof and done me well. I now own a 1998 300 tdi which has been heavily modified in the past. I have spent a while looking on here but nothing seems to answer this question fully. I noticed oil leaking...

Story so far...both front wheel sensors replaced by Landrover man, now showing open circuit on both? Still no MOT :(

Anyone got tips on how you remove the front left ABS speed sensor? My one appears to go in the top of the hub. Read lots of just knock it in posts, but i can't shift my one. It has a plastic/ rubber grommet looking thing where the wire enters the hub. I don't want to twist it incase it breaks...

So, update... Changed the ABS ECU for another one and now flashing up 4-14 front left speed sensor. No longer 3-1. It's an easier fault to look at I guess.

Thank you very much nrgserv. I'm hoping it's a simple fix. It's booked in for a pre-MOT with the local Land Rover specialist. I am sure he will suss it out. I will have another look at her if it stops raining today but unsure if i could do much with that code.

LR specialist booked for a week Monday, will post the results. It appears to be code 3-1 on the blink test. Cheers for your time just now.

Hello one and all, We have an M-reg Discovery 300 TDI AUTO that has been brutally operated on to make it a manual. It's MOT time soon, and i am afraid i can't get rid of the ABS warning light. I have done the code reading progress mentioned on here, but still it flashes what looks like 1-3...

Been a while, i've been at sea. Speed and odometer fault still continue. No idea what's wrong. Could it be in the gearbox itself?
