I recently purchased an ex-military Series 3. It's still 24v but fitted with an Iveco 2.5 turbo diesel. It came with this 'spare' 24v alternator which the previous owner told me was new. My question is, is this only any good to someone with an Iveco engine?

Ran the details of a 109 (hard top) through compare the meerkat tonight and the quotes were double what I'm paying for my 110 (Station Wagon). Obviously they're classing it as a commercial vehicle even though it's 29 years old, is this to be expected? Cheers
