24v Alternator?

I recently purchased an ex-military Series 3. It's still 24v but fitted with an Iveco 2.5 turbo diesel. It came with this 'spare' 24v alternator which the previous owner told me was new.
My question is, is this only any good to someone with an Iveco engine?

Probably. Its the mounting points that are the issue, the actual pulley can be changed but if it cannot be mounted on the engine its not much use apart from on the IVECO.
