    powerspark ducellier

Hi Tom, funnily enough I was looking on here for some answers to installation issues. I have just installed the powerspark K8 kit. Despite what others before have said, the vacuum toothed CAM had to be removed from my distributor to fit the collar. I bought this kit for a Series 3 I am...

can anyone HELP ...! Power steering on a 88 ..?

Staying 2.25 petrol if I can, I do have a nice spare 200tdi knocking around if I ever need to re-engine one of the series.

can anyone HELP ...! Power steering on a 88 ..?

Hi Extreedoc, I'm currently on a full strip and rebuild om my wifes S3 88 onto a new Richards Chassis and was contemplating a P38 PAS installation. I got Richards to add a mounting plate for the box, however it conflicts with the battery box stand. All pics I have seen have so far of...

Strange ticking noise post remap wonly whilst engine is under load

In August I finally had my 10 year old 110 EGR deleted, Alive remapped and Dinitrol treated. The remap has in general made the 110 much better to drive, with vastly improved drivability and performance with little noticeable difference to fuel economy. However over the last few weeks theTD5...

Temperature gauge drops when turning left

Indicators, what are those ;-) No not related to that, I did notice bouncing over some speedbumps in the local town that the needle fluctuates too. so definately an intermittent earthing issue.

Temperature gauge drops when turning left

Driving around in the old 300TDi D1 these past few days I just noticed that when I pull quickly left e.g.exiting side road, the temperature gauge drops to 0, then as the vehicle straightens out rapidly ascends to the middle of the gauge again. There is also a slight dipping and then it pops...

    ALRC Project

Lol, no trophy, there were only 4 class 1s (2 of them were me and djdommyp) so they only gave out 1st and 2nd place trophies !! As for the other 2 80s they were really caged triallers rather than a fairly standard S1, one of them was actually an 80/86" hybrid with spring hangers for both...

    ALRC Project

Hiya Owl, Sorry I missed you at Copford. I did pop up on the Saturday afternoon and said hello to the caravan but just heard a small dog barking from within! The trialler looked pukka. Stutab and I were down on the last row of the lower field overlooking the refuelling point.

Hi OWL, well done, looking forward to seeing you at Copford Farm and seeing that awsome project. Me and Stutab are booked in along with Jai_landrover. I spent the weekend fiddling with the dizzy on my 80, god knows how I did it or what I did (I hate electricals) but got her running sweet again...

    Mystery problem

It sounds like a possible caliper seizing issue. Only tonight I heard a tale from my MOT chum about his mum having a caliper seize one, she still drove it home but it had cracked the caliper. Test the wheels, can you rotate each of the wheels by hand?

    Discovery 300Tdi Clutch Issues

Just a follow up, once I fitted the master, I noticed I had the slave upside down so had to crawl underneath and swap that around (bleed nipple uppermost) It turned out bleeding was quite easy with the easybleed. Due to the nature of the pipework I think there was some trapped air for a while...

    Discovery 300Tdi Clutch Issues

Turns out it was the Master cylinder. So I hopefully have one arriving tomorrow. I have in the interim installed the new slave, so hopefully will get the beastie rolling tomorrow.

    Discovery 300Tdi Clutch Issues

Unfortunatley its the wifes motor, so of course you never get intelligible feedback ;). Last time I drove it it did feel like there was some occasional clutch drag changing gear, but not very noticeable. Theres about 110k on the clock and I assume its the same clutch as its been in the family...

    Discovery 300Tdi Clutch Issues

we did that whem we swapped my mates LT77 in his 200tdi RRC lol I expect it is the slave, ergo a new one on order. I can pump fluid through but getting no pressure. Do you know if the above pedal action is as expected?

    Discovery 300Tdi Clutch Issues

Hi All Got a Disco 300 TDi with R380. The wife drove home and said that she was having to lift the clutch pedal up with her toe! As expected the reservoir was empty. Whilst unsuccesfully trying to bleed the clutch I noticed a strange behaviour from the pedal. If you half depress the pedal then...

    ALRC Project

I was a spectator that year, they refused to scrutineer my saab 9-3. Lol I rode shotgun with a couple of the yroc buddies. The river was good, but they didn't let spectators watch the comp only from the campsite. Nice place though
