Looking forward to the start up video :) Can't wait for the competition video. :D
Beautiful work, Owl. Stunning machine!

Thanks for that. I have enjoyed building it, the Megasquirt has been as steep learning curve and a PITA at times though.
I don't know what I will do next in the workshop, A mate wants a custom bike frame building but that won't take long.

You could try fitting a Celica engine and drive train into a mini. Should keep ya out of mischief for a while, it's taking these guys years.

Cracking link that. It was blowing a hooley and raining outside, so no Landy fun today. I've spent another day brewing beer instead with the lappy on the kitchen table playing these videos one after another. Beer is in the fermenter now, but I'm half way through episode 10! Very clever engineering. Epic fun, I'd love a workshop like that. :D

I haven't done much on the motor over Xmass, I did find that there wasn't a crank signal which I traced too a faulty sensor which turned out to be cracked and corroded inside.
I purchased a new sensor, however it still won't start. I think I need a week off to get topside this megasquirt thing.
On a plus note I treated myself and bought some transport for the motor when it finally starts.
Getting closer to the prize at the end of the road.

It will live round the back next to my workshop, I have lent my lad my car as his is off the road so i am going to work in the truck till he gets it mended.
As for a 4x4, if I get stuck at an event a few 80's will pull it out

Definately, me, Jai and Stutab plus the support and catering staff will be there, then possibly off for the following weeks holiday in the snail. May bring the 80" down on the trailer now we have one.

Have you been too Copford farm before, I was wondering what it was like. I think the last National there was 2005.

I was a spectator that year, they refused to scrutineer my saab 9-3. Lol I rode shotgun with a couple of the yroc buddies. The river was good, but they didn't let spectators watch the comp only from the campsite. Nice place though

Ah, I have just been too a club committee meeting they said the comp was flat and very muddy but that the trial site is good. It is about a 6 hour drive to get there, I have booked time off work so I think I will go, asuming I have got the trialer started lol.

Yay!

We need a LZ Beer tent piccy. Not sure what to enter yet? RTV in the 90 means I have to remove the roof tent, play with the inj pump and tidy it up. CCV means I need to get time on it to get it log booked but our 10 month old isn't playing ball! Comp means I need to do more wor but not a massive amount as its mostly there th eextra bits. Hopefully This weekend I've been promised a full weekend on it. We shall See! Whatever I do it will be in a semi wrecked yellow motor either 80 or 90. If I'm towing the 80 I need to change the 90's transfer box, however I'm not too bad at changing from 4th low to 2nd high now! I need to get the darn 80 log booked.

Simon be great to see your motor flying around the comp site. If your bored and fancy a wee drive we have a local comp safari event here in July at Devils pit pretty sure it will be an 80 friendly course.

A friend of mine is coming with a few GoPros complete with steady cams and car mounts, he wants to make a short film. I'm sure we could have a LZ section.
Jai get your motor CCV and Comp ready I will bring my Log Book stuff with me and do it for you. You do have 4 months and 10 days, even finish it of on site if nessasary.
