quick fit air conditioning in 94 disco

Found a great new way to get air conditioning in my disco, especially for rear seat passengers. Go green laning, in the night, up a tighter than a gnats ass, lane. Push through the holly bush, up the bank in front of you and lean onto opposite bank!!! The resulting factor is a nice crazing over...

Bad smell (Not the usual Landy owner smell)

Hi, My 90 has started to smell bad!!Once the engine gets warm, the smell starts. Its like antifreeze and a mix of hot smouldering rubber!! I've checked the radiator fluid levels and they seem fine. I've checked the oil to see if there's water there, just incase the head had gone, thats fine. But...

    Is it really worth it?

I've been following a 200tdi engine on fleabay for the last couple of days to replace my perfectly running (53k) miles on the clock TD. After reading the nightmare of a job to fit the tdi into my landy, I have to ask, cos the wife will!! Is it really worth the hassle. Should I drive my TD until...

    timing cover breather

Hi, I bought parts a while ago to replace the breathers on my 90 TD (1990). I've replaced both axles and two on the gearbox/transfer box, but is it necessary to drill a hole in the timing cover and fit one there? I don't do that much deep water wading, its a just in case I get caught out...

    Hub end float?

Thanks for all the help. I think I've done as you have said. If I have tightened the nut too much what would be the result? and the front has just started to show signs of a leak. Is it the same process or will I need to "dial in" movement on the stub axle? Thanks, Jon

    Hub end float?

Hi, I've just spent the day!! I know!! fitting new seals on the rear hub to stop the leak. Everything sort of went fine ( I still don't know If I put the seals the right way around) but on reading the haynes manual after completing the job they talk about placing a dial on the end of the stub...

    Leaking rear wheel hub

Hi, I've found small amounts of oil on the rear wheel when stationary and its slightly dirtier, though difficult to tell when its all covered in mud! I wiped it clean and soon found it covered in oil again. Has the end seal gone on the axle or something more terrible and what do I need to do...
