3.9EFi Autobox replacement....Approx' Indy Garage labour charge for doing it??

This website seems useful; Labourrates.co.uk and based upon the general service times for doin this I'm guessing about £450 + vat for an indy Hmm, that's about the max I was thinkin to avoid ****ing about with it myself.... Will have a chat with gabby at the local garage tommorrow morning

3.9EFi Autobox replacement....Approx' Indy Garage labour charge for doing it??

OK, I've recently bust the auto gearbox in my bobbed Range Rover Classic. Defo the box, transfer box is fine. I've got a replacement autobox to replace it, even fresh ATF to go in....Now, I'm having the attack of the "want to have fun in it but can't be arsed/too lazy fixing it again"...

    boiled linseed oil

This is assuming your cricket bat is much older than your Freelander! Would recommend off milk rubbed on with stale bread on the tyres, a strong solution of used weed n feed on paintwork, and baked bean juice scraped from the inside of the tin on your windows..... That way ya wont...

Before spending any money at all, identify whether you want to go off roading, or green laning. There's a difference

    Im back with a V8 !! a few Q's

Congratulations!.......Yep, as long as you stay away from deep water, all is fine with V8 power n sound! :) A good service and look see underneath will probably help answer a couple of your own questions. However, yes, replacing bushes makes a world of difference, as does checking...

3.9EFi revs dropping too low when drive & reverse selected

Base idle screw in to lower idle speed, screw out/up to raise idle speed. Has been that way around with all mine. Did ya type that out the right way mate?, as it will stall with screw right in.

    Warn 8274

On the subject of copies...I bought my winch of fleaby for next t nothing, thought the design looked familiar, but it was only when it came with a photocopied superwinch instruction manual did I realise!!!. I can't beleive it will last as long as a genuine item, but for the price I'm not fussed...

    Re-moulds against Normal

Had Simex on mine originally, then replaced them with Insa Turbo Specials...Not much difference off roading to be honest (same tread pattern). Speed rating isn't that great, but wouldnt want to be doing 70 on a motorway with mudders on anyways. go for 'em I say.... plus its stops the fretting...
