I think my head gasket is on it's way out on my 200, so I'll be changing it sooner rather than later. I've never done a head gasket before, so how big a job is it and how long does it take? Roughly of course. I have the haynes though.

All I can think of doing is to try and get one imported as there will be none in the uk with the wheel on the wrong side. Try an ebay search for lefty discos perhaps? Otherwise you may be out of look. I may be wrong though!

I don't think it's heater related, I'll check the P gasket and I'll have a good look round for leaks when it's at running temp, fookin cars!

Silly question, but where's the P gasket then? I hope it's not the head gasket! It doesn't have any other head gasket symptoms, I don't think, what would other head gasket symptoms be then?

As the name implies, my 200 disco has a leeky coolant system, but I'm not sure where exactly, it's alarmingly quick in that most of the coolant will disapear within a week! Even if left standing! Are there any places I should look that are common to 200s at all? Cheers!

Aside from just putting it in the boot, has anyone here found an ingenious place to store them or attach them to their D1's? I have a nasty habit of pushing it with fuel so I could do with my jerry can been attached some where! Any pics or suggestions would be smashing Cheers.

They are indeed, they do fill them nicely yes. Once I trimmed a slither, literally, hardly anything off the rear fenders, theres been no rubbing at all, so jobs a gooden!

I've fitted some pirelli scorpion muds on my 200 the other day and all that needed was the rear arch trim, literally just a tiny taking off, steering stops doing and I'd already removed the front valance. I've not took it to enough articulation for the them to rub the top of the arches...yet...

Me and my mates have been wondering this for ages, what's that funny little wheel thing on the right hand side of the front axle underneath that seemingly appears to do nothing? Oh yes, and it's a 93 200 disco. Cheers.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking, no need fannying with the base or retainer, just a big spacer inbetween and some longer bolts. I'll show you all pictures once I'm done at some stage!

Ok, I've worked out the sizes, but for the front, would the spacers basically just need a large hole in the centre to accommodate the dampers?

From using the search button etc, I've gathered that a few people have turned their own spring spacers, I'm thinking of making some for my 200 disco since I'm about to stick some 235 85s on (I know all the tyre implications :P). Would anyone be able to very kindly give me the dimensions of the...

How much rust does it have? Check under the boot floor rubber matt, bet theres loads, there always is, check the rear arches too, and the mudflap stay and the light boxes and the entire front end!! Infact, check everything, it all rusts!!! :( Mine does.

Yeah I noticed that so I've disconnected the battery. Should have the new alternator tomorrow at some stage. Fookin landys!! You love em, but they rarely love you back lol.

The voltage reg you mean? Which rotor are we talking about?
