    Light bar wiring...

Are there any good earthing points round the fusebox under the steering column anyway to attach the lamps earths to?

    Light bar wiring...

Ok, so just to clarify, the earths coming off the lamps want going to the relay earth yeah?

    Ankor Wax

I imagine so yeah, otherwise it'll eventually come back to haunt you! Wire wheel or grind it or something till its nice and shiny then spray a bit of enamel over it or similar.

    Light bar wiring...

Could I just use a bit of twin core for the live and earth going to the light bar and splicing off it for for each lamp then running the earth directly to the earth on the relay?

    Light bar wiring...

Think I'll give that a blast tomorrow then. To splice into the main cable feeding all of them, did you just remove a piece of insulation and solder on the other bits then?

    Light bar wiring...

So you didn't actually use the car as an earth point between the relay and the lights, you just wired it directly between the 2?

    Light bar wiring...

Exactly as is stated on the wiring diagrams you get with the ring spot lights. What does everyone else attach there earths to? As I them to the metal on the bar itself then a wire to an earth coming off the end of the bar. What earth points would you recommend?

    Light bar wiring...

Just wiring my light bar, just using 2 spots for now on it. I've wired the relay etc properly so is not the issue, but for some reason, it keeps blowing a fuse even though I've wired it correctly. Seems like a daft question, but how, as in literally how have you lot assembled the bits of wiring...

    Crunching reverse on LT77...

Been like it for a while now and it's starting to **** me off. Every time I put my 93 200tdi in reverse it goes, crunch quite badly when engaging the gear. Is this a sign my gear box is on it's way out or what? Cheers guys!

    tyres and trimming ????

Just reverse up a pile of bricks or tyres or something and look where it rubs, that's what I did with my 235x85s.

    Strange brief power steering loss....

    Which tyre size for Disco

Anyway, tone lowering aside, I've just put 235x85 R16 on my disco and they're fine on my disco with standard suspension having removed the bottom half of the bumper and a camel cut. Yes Nathan, I said BOTTOM, whey!!!;)

    200 head gasket...

Cheers duck! It's mainly from around the front yes and there's no steam engine noises. Do you mean the water pump itself or just the gasket?
  19. jmattley

    wheels and tyres

I've just put some 235x85xR16s on my 200 and obviously over the ****e original 205s it gives quite a bit of extra clearance. My disco ain't lifted but I have yet to have issues of them rubbing anything at all. I'd already trimmed down the front bumper and all I needed to do was snip literally...

    200 head gasket...

Reeto, will do, cheers mate! I'm not sure if it's the head or the P gasket though as I can see where the water has come out a bit, but not sure where it's come from. I'll find out next time I have a long run i suppose. Where does one get a proper LR manual from then?
