    2000tdi engine

Depends what vehicle, auto or manual, tyres etc. With my 300tdi auto Discovery I am getting 27-35mpg, sometimes less around town. I have just bought a 200tdi manual Discovery and it has a slightly better mpg, not sure by how much. If your main concerned is about budget take into consideration...

Those pesky small black fuel lines!

Tried the hot water method and the plastic was so brittle that it snapped again so gave and bought some 4mm rubber line and two clamps and that seems to have done the trick!

Those pesky small black fuel lines!

What ya Disco divas, I have a question.... You know those small black fuels lines/pipes that push fit at the top of the engine? Not the main pipes. The one that returns(?) fuel from the injectors to the fuel pump for instance...Is there a secret way to getting them to push home? Mine broke...

Hi All - looking to get back into Landy Ownership

Hi Nick You have chosen wisely...Disco 1s, in my opinion, mirrors the ideas behind the original 1948 Series 1. It was designed and manufactured quickly for a changing market place, using parts from other vehicles and its success helped to keep the company afloat in difficult times. They are...

    Discovery, which one?

Which Discovery? Depends on you. 200/300tdi if you have black fingers, TD5 for rust and air suspension fun, D3/4 if you are going to Waitrose most days (joke). However once you've sold that Defender you'll have loads of money to spend on Disco fun! I have a similar issue but with a Series 2a...

    scotland trip

I did a cycle tour up the Outer Hebrides many years ago and the Bunkhouses were great. Peat burning stoves drying your wet cloths, wild weather outside, whiskey inside. You didn't want too get on the bike and leave in the morning!!

    200tdi vs 300tdi?

Petrol heads look away now! So in the world of Discovery's the general rule of thumb is that a 200tdi is a simpler, less electronic version of the 300tdi...Is this the same in the world of Range Rovers Classics? And if so what other intresting differences are there between the two types?? Andy

    Defender as an Investment

I am fifty years old this coming year, if I bought a low mileage, good condition 110 300tdi for around £7000 and manged to keep it on the road until I retire in 15 years time, whilst using it for work and family stuff. Now I would say that that was a good investment! :D

My Disco 300tdi is illergic to the motorway

Well not really. Has this ever happen to you? You are zooming (well 65mph) up the motorway when your engine decides to cut out, then after sitting on the hardshoulder for 10 mins your engine starts and you continue your journey...10 mins later the process continues, engine cut out then later...
