200tdi vs 300tdi?

Petrol heads look away now!
So in the world of Discovery's the general rule of thumb is that a 200tdi is a simpler, less electronic version of the 300tdi...Is this the same in the world of Range Rovers Classics? And if so what other intresting differences are there between the two types??

unless its a edc 300 ,200 is no more simpler than 300,basically the same engine but with more refinements on 300 ,300 fills and empties rad on the same side unlike diagonally on 200 and consequently had more over heating issues if baffle in rad failed or rad started to block, though neither are prone
