Hello, I cranked my engine after a rebuild to see if the oil would prime. The fuel is not hooked up yet so it's not going to fire. But I cranked it for about 4-5 seconds and the oil light didn't go out. Did I crank it long enough? I packed the oil pump with petrolium jelly while I had it open...

I can find plenty of info about how to route the plug leads, but I can't find anywhere where it shows how to run the wiring harness for the injectors and whatever else it plugs into. Anyone have a diagram or picture? Thanks, Roger

Aha! I wondered where the T-stat went. That's it inside the air inducting manifold device. Funny, I ended up with two new t-stat gaskets and I wondered where they went. Thanks for the help, and please be prepared for some more exposing of my ignorance. Thanks, Roger

Looks like the intake manifold is designed to block two of the water ways in the engine. What's that about? And which way around does it go, am I supposed to fit it so that it blocks the rear water ways (furthest from the front of the vehicle - I didn't take this apart). Cheers, Roger...

I just wrapped ratchet straps around the whole thing.

I've got the timing cover off, and the oil pump out. I'm trying to replace the oil seal, but I can't get the old one out. Is there any trick to this? I've already destroyed the old one trying to force it out with a screwdriver, but it's just mega stuck in there. Thanks, Roge
