Managed to get the solenoid out without to much bother with a short pair of long nosed vice grips. Took out the plunger and spring and voila, the engine fired first time. Only problem was I couldn’t stop it. Anyway, eventually tried another solenoid and the engine wouldn’t fire...

lol and no it was a diff 200tdi stig said the timeing belt had already been changed recently
