Ayup,
Thanks for that, Yes i have just had another look on ebay and realised mine is post june 1980 so ill need 2 cylinders, do you think i will be able to use the 10" shoes i bought?
Ayup,
I bought off ebay the other day a set of brakes shoes, springs and a cylinder for both front wheels. When i've got the drums off it seems i've got two cylinders on each wheel, top and bottom. The haynes manual doesn't have a picture of my setup. What is it???
I've got a 1980 swb...
This sounds like what has just happened to me and i found it was the clutch master cylinder, I replaced it yesterday and it's fine now. Mind you the missus wasn't happy sat in the cab for an hour while i was underneath trying to bleed it lol.
I've already lost so much blood when i put the pairobollicks on it, might get in touch with the blood bank see if i can get a couple of pints to keep in me fridge in case.
When you say standard tools, wot do you mean? Will i need more than a lump hammer?
Do you reckon it can be done by a retard like me with no experience or will i have to pay large sums of very hard earned spondulics to someone with a larger brain pan?
Ayup,
Now don't take this the wrong way, but it seems to me that if you could spell and punctuate and describe your problem in plain English, then people would have a better chance of helping.
Anyway, back to my pairobollicks. They is working fine, the next job is to find the annoying mettallic rattling coming from the front end. Sounds like a metal ring rattling round an exhaust pipe (it isn't i checked).
Lol tell me about it, I've got 2 too, trouble is, I don't know a thing about engines etc. But they are so addictive, bought my first one, one early sunday morning off ebay without telling the missus, god did i get a bollocking lol
