    Leaking DSE fuel pump

Seal kits turned up this morning, well impressed with the prompt service. took advantage of a dry afternoon and changed the top two seals in the pump on the car, no big problems really, just a bit fiddly locating the ball in the cup! Managed this and fired it up, success no visible drips...

    Leaking DSE fuel pump

Thanks for the input guys, The pump seems to be leaking from the top two joints as appears to be the norm, what I have done is order two gasket sets with a view to repairing the one in position but also replacing the seals in my old pump so I have it good to go if ever needed. I will let...

    Leaking DSE fuel pump

Hard to say, top is leaking for certain but it does seem to be losing a lot of diesel. need to clean it all off this afternoon and watch where it comes from. I will let you know when I have had a proper look. Cheers.

    Leaking DSE fuel pump

That sounds a bit beyond me! I no idea how to set the timing on a fuel pump so maybe a repair in situ might be the way forward. What I lack in knowledge I make up for with perseverance! Nice one on the quick reply.

Thanks for all the replies, Basically the only items missing from the setup are the airbags themselves! everything else appears to be in place but I have no idea if things like the height sensors, compressor and so on are working or not? as said previously the car has been changed to...

    Another air vs coil thread!

Hi all, Please forgive me for bringing this up yet again  I have a 2000 2.5 dse which is currently sat on coils, It was like this when I bought it and the front sits quite a bit higher than the rear. aside from the fact that I think it looks a bit odd like this (almost like the...

Thanks for the offer but I'm looking for something a bit more built up preferably with the fuel pump fitted so I don't have to set the timing.

    replacement diesel engine for P38

Hi Guys, Sorry to resurrect an old thread but after three weeks of ownership my 2000 model diesel snapped a conrod on the motorway and basically punched a fair hole in the block. I have been looking around for a tidy engine to replace it with and have found what appears to be a nice unit...
