Thanks for the input, going to try the penny trick today. Does this increase tension or ware on the stud holding the tensioner eventually causing it to shear off. I have read this in a few threads. Thanks again guys, John

The rear wiper on my 97 300tdi just makes a droning noise when it is activated but does not move. It goes through the cycle of on and off. Could this be the splines on the motor having worn down or a sign of a worn motor? Thanks guys, John
